S<\/span>ince most people aren’t planning a vacation south during the pandemic, the provincial government has created a tax credit to encourage residents to travel in Ontario to support local businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tax credit will cover up to 20 per cent of <\/span>eligible Ontario tourism expenses including hotels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are five places you can stay and swim within a two-hour drive from the University of Guelph-Humber.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Embassy Suites by Hilton,\u00a0 <\/b>Niagara Falls<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0This hotel has a view right in front of the falls, giving it a perfect view. It also has a rooftop restaurant and lounge as well as a steakhouse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel is only a three-minute drive from Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, a street full of attractions including, the Niagara Falls Skywheel, Movieland Wax Museum of the Stars and Ripley\u2019s Believe it or Not! museum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another resort to look into, only a seven minute drive to Clifton Hills, is Great Wolf Lodge water park resort.<\/span><\/p>\n

This resort has a cabin feel with an indoor water park and hot tubs- which is great for the winter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deerhurst Resort, Muskoka\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

If you’re willing to pay a little more, this report has a spa and steam room. It\u2019s just a 15-minute <\/span>walk to Hidden Valley Highlands where people can enjoy winter activities like skiing and snowboarding.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blue Mountain Inn, the Blue Mountains\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

The Blue Mountain Inn is located at the foot of the ski hill in the village. The hotel has a modern cottage look and includes both indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Added bonus \u2014 you can bring your furry friend.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Fairmont Royal York, downtown Toronto\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Looking to stay in the GTA? The Fairmont Royal York in Toronto is only a 24 minute drive from the University of Guelph-Humber.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hotel includes two restaurants, two bars\/lounges and a coffee shop\/caf\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n
