Alex Hoa, retail services officer, said they are planning to open in winter 2022.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In the meantime, students have made their\u00a0own lunch or walked to Humber College.\u00a0 Here are some alternative choices around campus\u00a0while students wait.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For lunch, students said they <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">would often say sandwiches and baked goods like cookies from the GH cafe.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Starbucks at the north Humber is a campus came up as a place students like to eat at.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Second-year media student Isabella says she like Starbucks because it\u2019s \u201ca good alternative to have. I like the drinks there.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Street Cafe, that is around the intersection of GH and Humber\u00a0is another place that came up. Third-year student\u00a0Nicole\u00a0Costin chose The Street Cafe because she wanted to explore other food options. \u201cI\u2019ve seen many food choices there. There aren\u2019t many here.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">While it is fine staying on-campus, if GH students want more variety, then going off-campus will be beneficial because there are a lot of choices.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Another benefit of going off-campus and are a lot of these restaurants close later than restaurants on campus which is good for students who attend late night classes.\u00a0They\u00a0can also order by phone, and online with their app or third-party delivery (Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, and Door Dash).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">First, there is the McDonald\u2019s\u00a0at Carrier Drive. Third-year family &amp; communications social services student Sarah Singh recommends going because it has \u201csome variety\u201d compared around GH and Humber. Another place is Harvey\u2019s at Finch Avenue. Second-year childhood studies student Emily Galati, recommends it because it\u2019s inexpensive and \u201csomething different.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0There are other popular food chains\u00a0at Finchwood\u00a0Plaza such as Tim Hortons, Subway, and Burger King.\u00a0It also has Indian restaurants, Desi\u00a0Spice and Osmow\u2019s\u00a0Shawarma, Honest Restaurant Etobicoke,\u00a0Mr. Greek and Pizza Hub.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If students want places closer to\u00a0the university\u00a0then Humber 27 Plaza should be a fitting place for them.\u00a0In the plaza, there are a variety of restaurants\u00a0to choose from.\u00a0There is\u00a0a pizza place\u00a0City South Pizza, sushi place,\u00a0Hoya Sushi.\u00a0If students are tired of Ackee Tree,\u00a0and want to\u00a0explore other\u00a0Caribbean food,\u00a0Flava Ceen\u00a0and\u00a0Callaloo Taste of Caribbean\u00a0are great places to try.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:720,&quot;335559740&quot;:480}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Now it looks like the GH cafe is coming back.
