In an email that was sent to the students of Guelph-Humber on September 25, interim Vice-Provost George Bragues and interim Director of Administration Brenda Whiteside released a joint message letting students know that they will not be returning to campus in the 2021 winter semester.

The upcoming semester will follow a similar format to the fall semester with administration saying that most classes will follow a “blended approach, with a majority of classes using alternate/remote delivery formats.”

The decision to extend online learning has been made to keep in place physical distancing and other health and safety measures that were put in place at the beginning of the fall term.

The measures that the school enacted have reduced the amount of people on campus by a substantial amount as only a select few classes have been approved to operate on school property, while the majority have been made accessible online.

Registrarial Services sent out an email to all Guelph-Humber students on October 9 with all the dates and information students will need for the Winter semester, with classes set to begin on January 11.
